Based near Lewes in the south east, Posture Partnership was founded by Jane Pratley, a highly specialist physiotherapist, who passionately believes that it is never too early or too late to improve peoples' lives through Postural Care. Through her work, she strives to challenge the idea that body shape changes, brought about by reduced mobility, are inevitable and believes that quality of life can always be enhanced through postural care.

Since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1996, Jane realised early on that she had a special interest in neurological rehabilitation. Whilst working in a rehabilitation centre for people with profound brain injuries, 18 years ago, Jane became inspired by the impact a Postural Care approach had on resident’s quality of life. It was inspiring to see people young and old  enabled to sit out of bed and go out with their families or lay in comfort and sleep through the night.

Since this pivotal time, Jane has worked both independently and in the NHS with many children and adults with disability and movement problems, always aspiring to help people to live their lives to their best ability and in comfort.

Jane has specialist clinical experience in the provision of highly complex wheelchair and seating systems, including extensive experience of custom contoured seating.  Jane is passionate about training and believes that by empowering individuals to develop confidence and knowledge in Postural Care that people’s lives can be transformed. She has recently completed a PTLLS Level 3 teaching course and a Train the Trainer in Postural Care.
